Due to the hike in diesel prices, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) passengers travelling long-distance will now face a fresh burden, as the pot has decided to collect diesel cess from 09 June. The cess would be depending on the distance travelled. In Deluxe, the cess would be Rs 5 to Rs 125 for 500 km and In Super Luxury the cess would be Rs 10 to Rs 130. For 500 km in A/ C services Rs 10 to Rs 170. The minimum chow of Rs 10 in Pallevelugu and City Ordinary services will continue to be the same so as to not burden the common man and short-distance passengers.
Depending on the distance travelled by a passenger the fresh diesel cess will be decided. The diesel cess in Greater Hyderabad limits aren’t increased, therefore passengers travelling in megacity motorcars aren’t affected.
