India one of the biggest Governmental Job Guaranty schemes- Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act( MGNREGA) was introduced in 2005 by the UPA government in 2005. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Tabled the presented bill by Rural Development Minister Raghvansh Prasad Singh in parliament. Under this scheme, the government aimed to provide livelihood enhancement in rural areas of the country. Especially Rojgar to the unskilled workers of rural areas of the country.
NREGA Job Card List 2023
Under this scheme, the government will provide a 100-day work guarantee within the 5 km area to the NREGA job card holder. In case the government is unable to provide 100 days Rojgar in a year the government will pay unemployment allowance to the NREGA Job Card Holder. All unskilled men and women are eligible for the Nrega job card.
The details of the works done under this scheme district-wise are available online on the https://nrega.nic.in/ web portal. Mgnrega works list, is available online with the details of the workers’ names and their job card numbers. All the workers can download the details of their Mnrega job cards online. The Mnrega work is done under the Gram Panchayat governing heads in the local area. Various types of work like water harvesting, water conservation, and rural connectivity are done by unskilled workers in the local area. Gram Panchayat is the basis of the registration for the Nrega job card.
